About Kat Mathieson

My set-up is simple - a projection clock, a camera and a subject.

My aim is to photograph 50 people in the Northern Rivers region of NSW and for each person to arbitrarily select the projected time.

For my self-portrait, I asked my mum what time I was born. Her answer was, "I'm not sure love but I do know you took so long that all the flowers had wilted."

We decided 2am seemed fitting.

This is my second clockfaces project. The first was photographed and exhibited in Newtown, Sydney as part of a group exhibition for the Head On Photo Festival.
